The Wessels Shipping Company can look back on a long family tradition in maritime navigation.
Back in the 60s Wessels was already constructing river sea ships, the so-called "cargo liners", which are still the template for all modern coastal motor ships today.
They developed into the types of ship which are nowadays used as bulk and container ships all around the world.

Taking over the newbuilding MV “PELEUS”

The directors, Gerd Wessels and Wilhelm Kathmann, of the WESSELS Shipping Company presented on the occasion when taking over the newbuilding MV “PELEUS”, a model ship showing the sister vessel MV “TELAMON” which has been delivered in summer 09, to the mayor of the town Haren, Mr. Markus Honnigfort.
